Following this weeks COVID-19 announcement from the Government of Alberta, we have a few updates to share in regard to our upcoming races, as well as the remainder of the 2020 Century Horse Racing Club season.
TEMPORARY CLOSURE:
As of Saturday, December 12 at midnight, all casinos in Alberta will be temporarily closed until further notice. This closure includes both the casino and horse racing operations, and will be for a minimum of four weeks, until the Government is able to reevaluate.
LIVE RACING - POST TIME CHANGE:
The good news is, we still have one more day of live horse racing at Century Mile before the closure comes into effect...and it will be a big one! Since we will no longer be racing on Sunday, all races have moved to Saturday for a 23 race card beginning at a new post time of 2:15pm! You can catch Peaches in Race 13!
END OF SEASON INFO:
This closure does mean that Saturday will be our final race day of the 2020 Century Horse Racing Club season. Although this may not have been the year that anyone was expecting, we are thankful to have been able to share the fun and excitement of racing with you - whether it was from home or in person! We truly appreciate your continued patience and understanding.
Following the end of the season, all purse money and expenses will be calculated and any profits will be distributed equally among the Club members. It is important to note that these payments will likely be delayed until the new year, however we will share any updates on the status as we receive them!
