COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado, December 9, 2008 - Century Casinos, Inc. (NASDAQ Capital MarketŪ and Vienna Stock Exchange: CNTY) announced today that the company entered into an exclusive, long-term agreement with TUI Cruises GmbH (Ltd.). Century Casinos has been selected by TUI Cruises to operate the casinos on all cruise ships that TUI Cruises will put into service before December 31, 2012.
In May 2009, the first vessel of the new TUI Cruises fleet will start passenger cruises. The generous four-star plus ship can accommodate up to 1,948 passengers and 780 crew members on 13 decks. Almost half of the 974 cabins are equipped with spacious balconies or patios. Furthermore, the vessel, whose language on board is German, offers ten themed restaurants and bistros, ten bars, numerous sun and pool decks, a wellness and spa landscape on approx. 18,000 sq ft as well as a conference center and a theater.
The casino will perfectly blend in with the overall concept of TUI Cruises. In addition to the casino games, a broad range of drinks will be offered. Live music and a special outdoor area, where players may enjoy their cigars, will contribute to the exceptional casino experience.
In the first season from May to September 2009, TUI Cruises offers cruises to the North and Baltic Sea. From September to the beginning of November the ship sets course for the western Mediterranean followed by cruises to the Caribbean until March 2010. In total, three vessels are planned until 2012.
TUI Cruises is the new cruise brand for the German-speaking world. TUI Cruises GmbH is a joint venture of TUI AG (Inc.) and the US-American shipping company Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. The newly established enterprise based in Hamburg offers premium cruises for the German-speaking market starting in May 2009.
