COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado, August 10, 2007 - Century Casinos, Inc. (NASDAQ and Vienna Stock Exchange: CNTY) announced today that Century Casinos' "The Caledon Hotel and Spa" near Cape Town, South Africa, has been awarded a four star grading for hotels from the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa ("TGCSA"), the country's only rating agency.
The Caledon hotel, in the scenic Garden Route region, features 34 Superior rooms, 41 Deluxe rooms and six suites, most of them commanding spectacular views of the Klein Swartberg Mountains and the rolling wheat fields across the Bath River. Hotel occupancy increased 23.93% year over year and was at 67.62% in July 2007, revenue per available room increased 10.17% over the same period.
Furthermore, the Caledon resort offers its guests a casino with 370 slot machines, 6 gaming tables, two bars and three restaurants, conferencing facilities, as well as a modern Victorian mineral spa and wellness center.
